Multiplayer does not work through Game Center. The whole reason I got this game was to play online. When is there going to be a fix?

Great when i could play it on Yosemite but no luck on El Capitan it keeps crashing… please fix

Awesome work :) I have modded the game and seems to have no problem working. The only problem is that I had two crashes during zero hour challenges, not sure if it’s my machine’s fault or the game itself’s fault.

Ok, C&C generals was one of my fav RTS game since 10years ago, it’s a little bit old but hey kids it’s a great game! You can add custom map from internet , but sadly world editor is not included. You can adjust screen,camera angle etc like everything by ini file too if you are using 27” iMac ,it’s a bit tricky but you can google it. You can add mod too but take care! you can’t reinstall it easily ,you have to download the whole 5.7GB data from app store all over again if you messed up something. You can mod almost everything easily by modding ini files.if you want to become a game developer someday ,try this thing :P Aspyr Laucher asks you login with game center everytime ,there is no way to disable it.you have to click 3 times to lauch the game. And if you login with game center, sometimes game center for mac has login problems , so you might can’t play it even for single player. Aspyr even have a thread about how to logout game center and make laucher works.good job apple, too bad I can’t say hate words in review or app store won’t post it .

Buggy as hell. This has never worked properly on any of three computers. Constantly crashes and old old bugs are still in the game. Disappointing that the little effort needed isn’t being put into these titles.

Unfortunately, no internet multiplayer. You can play with yout friends in Game Centre, but you cant play with random players over internet. :(

i like this game the few times that it will stay open and let me play. it is constantly opening for a little bit getting into the intro and then randomly closes. i tried redownloading it but it still doesnt work.

I played this game wayy back in the day when it first came out. I am so glad that it is available on the iMac platform. I love playing this game, and I have no problems with it at all.

How hard is is to FIX THE ZOOM GUYS!!?? It would take you literally 5 minutes or less, and even if you sell one more copy it would be worth it. Geezuz.

I have loved this game/series for years and I was excited when I saw it in the app store. In reading the negative reviews, I did have some reservations about purchasing it based on multiple reports that the game view/perspective had been described as zoomed in too close. I purchased it anyways, thinking that it could not be that bad and that I would get used to it… I WAS WRONG. It is just about unplayable. To be honest, I have only played it once (the night I purchased it). I do have hope that they will update the game soon, correcting this visual flaw. Until then, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, DO NOT BUY THS GAME. WAIT FOR THE SOFTWARE UPDATE - IF THERE EVER IS ONE. :-(

Game crashes immediately on opening.

Waiting on an update for when we can expect to be able to play this game again. It’s great when it launches but it wasn’t update ready. Dangers of playing a game thats really really old. Anyway, a great game. The Zero Hour expansion thats included makes the game even better. Good port onto Mac as well. Worth the money after it’s updated.

This game is a true classic that I was immensly excited to play again on my Mac. It plays just like it used to - fun, balanced, and truly remarkable for its 2003 release year. There are some issues though. First - there are issues with Game Center and the newest Mac OSX, and this game. Without going into detail - it crashes. The devs are aware of it and are working on a fix. Annoying but not the end of the world because you can forgo signing into game center and just playing offline. Also - a truly annoying issue that may not even be the game’s fault is the pop up of the dock and top menu bar whenever you mouse to those parts of your screen (which you find yourself doing A LOT when playing an RTS like this). I have tried numerous fixes to no avail on this one and I’d really like some support here. Other than that though, C&C Generals and Zero Hour are as great as ever. Still one of the best and most playable RTS games ever. I highly reccomend the download.

If this company were in any way professional, they would have absolutely sent out a warning before the upgrade to El Capitan, even if there was only the slightest possibility of compatibility issues. There was minimal action taken to warn users of this important issue. Since upgrading to El Capitan (a month and a half ago), Command and Conquer seizes to run. I have contacted Aspyr support several times, and each time my questions have been answered with the same scripted response of how I need to reinstall Yosemite. Their instructions for reintalling do not work, and to find out, it is near impossible to even downgrade the system without a time machine backup. Why they keep recommending this solution is beyond me. I have numerous emails and requests that have been completely ignored, and questions that get no direct answer. There is no timeline for when this issue is expected to get fixed, or even if they are making progress with it. It is a shame so many people spent money on a company that doesn’t show the slightest care for it’s products. Aspyr needs to rethink their business strategy in terms of customer service and bug fixes (especially when the game cannot be opened). Game worked fine a few days ago and all of the sudden when I click on the icon nothing happens. It loads in the dock and then disappears after 4 seconds. I can’t even play offline mode.

Im tired of getting apps that eep crashing….this is ridiculous ! i want a refund if it cant be fixed.

How are you still selling this in the app store if it doesn’t work with the most current OS X ????????????

Like others on here, a few days ago this game was wokring great. But yesterday when i tried to play again, it won’t even load the application anymore. I have done countless resets, shutdowns, ect. I hope they make a fix soon, they have had more than enough time to find the problem and send out a fix. They should’ve been working on it whilst 10.11 was still in beta, instead of waiting til the official came out.
