Late 2015 iMac - in overall, the game runs pretty well. Zoom can be fixed manually (!!!). Join the facebook group C&C Generals Mac App Players and you will find posts how to fix the zoom. Nonetheless, if you upgraded your system to El Capitan, invitations do NOT get through; however, yosemite invitations do get through! Players are still waiting for an update to fix this issue. If you do fix the zoom manually, the game eventually crashes. This happens once in a while-not too often. If you insist to host games for you and your friends, you will need to create a backup of your system, do an internet-recovery, create a second partition, install yosemite on your new created partition, and use time machine backup for your normal first partition.

Don’t waste your money. Rebooting computer does not solve crashing problem. I have also uninstalled and reloaded the game at least a half dozen times. Sometimes it works for a single play….most time it’s just frustrating and you get ZERO tech support on this. I finally stopped bashing my head against the wall and admitted that I’d been had! I have permanantly deleted this game. If these guys were honest, they’d wouldn’t try to sell us this junk!

It literally wont even load on my Mac Pro tower with 12core 3.46ghz, 128gb ram and a GTX980…. Absurd.

how long until i can play the game on 10.11 OS X it keeps on opening up and closing automatically i disscorrent from wifi and i have this trouble how do i play the game and it not keep closing thanks

I just paid $20 for this game that is useless! If you are going to take my money please make sure that the product works. I want this fixed or my money back!!

Don’t waste your money. If I could get a refund I would. I’ve loved this game for years and was excited to get to play it again on my Mac. Only to be disapointed that it doesn’t work in the slightest...

Paid $20 for this game and it’s hardly playable because it’s zoomed in too close!!!!!

This is the worst created game for a Mac that I have ever used. It crashes 90% of the time when trying to launch it. The other 10% of the time that it works, the zoom is horrible and the gameplay is sluggish. Don’t waste your money buying this game. Also, I entered a support ticket for the errors and never received a response. If you read the summary of the game by the developer, they acknowledge that the game crashes- but have not fixed it. Signing out of game center, restarting your machine, and then re-launching C&C works about 30% of the time. By the time you’ve done all of this, and the game still doesn’t work, you don’t even want to play it anymore. This company clearly does not take any pride in their product or support for their customers. Apple should remove this from the app store until the issue is fixed.

The game is as it had been, and works great and fast on my macbook pro. Loading of saved games is super fast. I would recommend to place the max camera hight higer as the screen resolution is high as well. Great work guys on this classic "must have". I enjoyed after so many years!

As unconditionnal CC fan obviously the game is awesome, but mac version or i shall say app store version miss crucial things like map builder, etc…

Game is not launching on yosemite… please help!

It’s about time you return this wonderful strategy game. I know lots of fans are thrilled to play this game again.

I’m not a huge gamer but this is a game that I have enjoyed from the start. The graphics look good and the game play is faithful to the original. My only complaint is that when you move to the top of the screen the OS X menu bar appears (like when you are in a fullscreen application) and, for me, I have my dock on the left of the screen and when I go to scroll to the left the dock appears. It is distracting to the gameplay. Other games that are fullscreen do not do this.

One of those great games that just never got ported for Macs after OS upgrades. Still a classic, still just as fun!

The graphic quality is horrible…framerate is pathetic…all they did was port a 10 year old game to the Mac? Unbelievable. Save your $$. I’m requesting a refund.

Finally! Someone or some group got smart and brought back a proven classic. Thank-you for this game wanted to play this again for a long long time. Waiting for the rest of the franchise (if possible).

This was the best of all C&C games, and there’s no more Generals 2 would exist. Take it guys!
